Hello everyone,

On Tuesday, January 31, 2024, I participated as a simultaneous interpreter from English into Arabic and vice versa for a duration of five hours for esteemed figures: the esteemed President of Al-Iraqia University, the honorable vice president for scientific affairs, the honorable deans of faculties, and a delegation from the University of Kurdistan in Iran. The Iranian delegation comprised the esteemed President of the University of Kurdistan, the advisor to the esteemed President of the University, and the esteemed Director of International Relations.

زرنا اليوم بصحبة العائلة فعاليات معرض بغداد الدولي واطلعنا على منتجات الكثير من الشركات المحلية والاقليمية والعالمية، لكن كان الشيء الذي جذب انتباهنا وجود جناح يضم نتاجات مديرية الإصلاح التابع إلى وزارة العدل العراقية، فكانت النتاجات مبهرة حقا، فهي مؤسسة إصلاح حقيقية تصلح الإنسان الذي أخطىء بحق نفسه والمجتمع... فبارك الله بالجهود المبذولة. 

Hello everyone

Today, I and my family attended the activities of the Baghdad International Fair and explored the products of many local, regional, and international companies. However, what captured our attention was the presence of a pavilion showcasing the products of the Rehabilitation Directorate affiliated with the Iraqi Ministry of Justice. The products were truly impressive, representing a genuine rehabilitation institution that corrects individuals who have erred against themselves and society. May Almighty Allah (the God of Universe) bless the dedicated efforts

International Conference in Yemen مؤتمر دولي في اليمن

كلية الآداب تشارك في مؤتمر دولي في اليمن

شاركت كلية الآداب - الجامعة العراقية ممثلة بامين مجلس كلية الآداب الاستاذ المساعد الدكتور ابراهيم طلعت ابراهيم ببحث حمل عنوان (المترجمون الفوريون في الازمات: دراسة مسحية) في المؤتمر الدولي الذي نظمته جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا / اليمن بالتعاون مع الجمعية الدولية للترجمة والدراسات الثقافية حضوريا وافتراضيا يومي الأحد والاثنين ٧ الى ٨ كانون الأول ٢٠٢٤.

وعرض الباحث عبر منصة الزووم للاجتماعات بحثه وأشار إلى دور المترجم الفوري في نقل المعلومة من طرف إلى آخر وأنواع الترجمة الفورية وعينات البحث وتحليل وجهات نظر العينات ومن ثم عرض الصعوبات والحلول.

College of Arts / Al-Iraqia University participates in International Conference in Yemen

College of Arts Council Secretary Asst. Prof. Ibrahim Talaat Ibrahim Ph.D. represented Al-Iraqia University/ College of Arts with a research paper titled "Interpreters in Conflict Zones: A Survey Study" at the international conference organized by the University of Science and Technology/Yemen in collaboration with the International Association for Translation and Cultural Studies. The conference took place both physically and virtually on Sunday and Monday, January 7

th and 8th, 2024. The researcher presented his paper via Zoom Meetings Platform, discussing the role of simultaneous in transferring information, various types of simultaneous interpreting, research samples, analysis of sample perspectives, difficulties faced, and potential solutions.

New Workshop at Zahra University (PBUH) for Women

قدمنا اليوم ورشة عمل بعنوان (مهارات الترجمة ومهارات اللغة الإنجليزية المتكاملة) في جامعة الزهراء (عليها السلام) للبنات /كلية التربية/قسم اللغة الانجليزية في مقر الجامعة/ محافظة كربلاء المقدسة يوم السبت الموافق ٣٠-١٢-٢٠٢٣. 

وزرنا الامام الحسين (عليه السلام) وأخيه الامام العباس (عليه السلام).

كل الشكر والامتنان إلى الاستاذ عيسى الجبوري المحترم على تعاونه لانجاح الورشة.

وشكرا من القلب إلى جامعة الزهراء (عليها السلام) للبنات/ كلية التربية /قسم اللغة الانجليزية على كرم الضيافة وحفاوة الاستقبال.

Today, I conducted a workshop titled 'Translation Skills and Integrated English Language Proficiency' at Al-Zahra University (PBUH) for Women/Faculty of Education/ English Language Department, at the university's headquarters in the Holy City of Karbala on Saturday, the 30th of December 2023.

Then, I visited Imam Hussein (PBUH) and his brother Imam Abbas (PBUH) shrines.

Many thanks and gratitude to the respected Mr. Issa Al-Jubouri for his cooperation in the success of the workshop. 

Heartfelt thanks to Al-Zahra University (PBUH) for Women/ Faculty of Education /English Language Department for their generous hospitality and warm reception.

ورشة عمل مشتركة Joint Workshop

شاركنا اليوم في رحاب كلية الآداب / جامعة واسط في ورشة العمل الموسومة "الية العمل على المنصات الأكاديمية العالمية وزيادة الاستشهادات في البحث العلمي" يوم الثلاثاء الموافق ٢٦-١٢-٢٠٢٣.

وقدمنا الجانب النظري والعملي المتعلق بالمنصات الأكاديمية العالمية وطريقة الاستشهاد الصحيحة من البحوث. 

وحضر السيد رئيس جامعة واسط الاستاذ الدكتور مازن الحسني المحترم والسيد المساعد العلمي الاستاذ الدكتور صبيح لفتة المحترم والسيد عميد كلية الآداب الاستاذ الدكتور سعد داحس المحترم / جامعة واسط والسيد المعاون العلمي الاستاذ الدكتور وليد الخفاجي المحترم ونخبة من اساتيذ الجامعة وطلبة الدراسات العليا ورشة العمل. 

ونقلنا تحيات عمادة كلية الآداب/ الجامعة العراقية المتمثلة بالسيد العميد الاستاذ الدكتور حسين داخل البهادلي المحترم إلى السيد عميد كلية الآداب المحترم /جامعة واسط والى السيد رئيس جامعة واسط المحترم، وبالمقابل رحبا السيد رئيس جامعة واسط والسيد عميد الكلية بالسيد عميد كلية الآداب الاستاذ الدكتور حسين داخل البهادلي المحترم ورحبا أيضا بالتعاون العلمي بين الكليتين.

وفي الختام، نشكر جامعة واسط على كرم الضيافة وحسن الاستقبال. وجميع الأخوة الزملاء الذين شاركوا في تقديم ورشة العمل معنا.

Today, we participated in a workshop at the College of Arts, Wasit University, entitled "Mechanism of Working on Global Academic Platforms and Increasing Citations in Scientific Research" on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. We presented the theoretical and practical aspects related to global academic platforms and the proper citation method in research.

Esteemed attendees included Dr. Mazen Al-Hassani, the honourable president of Wasit University; Dr. Sabih Lufta, the honourable assistant scientist; Dr. Saad Dahes, the honourable dean of the College of Arts at Wasit University; Dr. Walid Al-Khafaji, the honourable assistant scientist; and a selection of university professors and postgraduate students.

We conveyed greetings from the Dean of the College of Arts, Al-Iraqia University , represented by the honourable Dean, Dr. Hussein Dakhil Al-Bahadli, to the honourable Dean of the College of Arts, Wasit University, and to the honourable President of Wasit University. In return, the President of Wasit University and the Dean of the College extended greetings to Dr. Hussein Dakhil Al-Bahadli, the honourable Dean of the College of Arts, and also expressed enthusiasm for scientific cooperation between the two colleges.

Finally, we express gratitude to Wasit University for their gracious hospitality and warm welcome. Thanks are extended to all colleagues who participated in conducting this workshop with us

International Conference مؤتمر دولي

لقد قٌبِلَ بحثنا الموسوم ب "المترجمون الفوريون في الأزمات: دراسة مسحية" في المؤتمر الدولي الذي تقيمه جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا-اليمن بالتعاون مع الجمعية الدولية للدراسات الترجمية والثقافية في كانون الأول ٢٠٢٤.

All praise is to Allah (the God of the Universe).

My paper, titled "Interpreters in Conflict Zones: A Survey-Based Study," has been accepted for the International Translation Conference, organized by the University of Science and Technology and the International Association for Translation and Intercultural Studies (IATIS), which will be held online by January 2024.
