 شاركنا اليوم في الورشة الدولية العراقية اليابانية الرابعة عشر بعنوان (التاريخ والمجتمع والتراث العراقي الياباني: وجهات نظر متنوعة) بصفة مترجم فوري.  إذ ترجمنا جميع الكلمات والعروض التقديمية  للسيد رئيس الجامعة العراقية المحترم ومساعد رئيس الجامعة العراقية للشؤون العلمية المحترم والسيد عميد كلية الآداب المحترم والوفد الياباني والباحثين العراقيين ومدير جايكا لمدة أربع ساعات يوم الثلاثاء 21 نوفمبر 2023.

Hello everyone,

Today, I participated in the Fourteenth International Iraqi-Japanese Workshop titled (History, Society and Iraqi-Japanese Legacy: Diverse Perspectives) as a simultaneous interpreter, where I interpreted all the speeches and paper presentations for Al-Iraqia University President, Vice President, Dean of the College of Arts, Japanese Delegation, Iraqi researchers, and JICA Director for four hours on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.

The College of Arts Council at Al-Iraqia University convenes its second Council session for the academic year 2023-2024.

الترجمة الفورية في السياق العسكري

 نظم قسم الترجمة في كلية الآداب ندوته العلمية الثانية والموسومة (الترجمة الفورية في السياق العسكري) يوم الخميس في تمام الساعة العاشرة صباحا/ قاعة الاستاذ الدكتور عبدالحسين الفتلي وبحضور السيد عميد كلية الآداب الأستاذ الدكتور حسين داخل البهادلي المحترم والسيد معاون العميد للشؤون العلمية والدراسات العليا الأستاذ الدكتور مثنى فاضل الذيب .

وادار الندوة رئيس قسم الترجمة الاستاذ المساعد الدكتور احمد کریم سالم وقدمها الاستاذ المساعد الدكتور ابراهيم طلعت إبراهيم .

 وتضمنت الندوة دور المترجم العسكري في الحروب عبر التاريخ عموما ودوره في العراق بعد العام ٢٠٠٣ وكذلك قدم المحاضر أبرز التحديات التي يواجهها المترجم الفوري في السياق العسكري على مستوى المصطلح والثقافة والمشكلات التي قد يتعرض اثناء نقل المعلومة في ظروف أمنية حرجة.

 ‏وبين اهم الاخفاقات التي يواجهها المترجم الفوري وأشار إلى البرنامج الأوربي لإعداد المترجم الفوري في السياق العسكري .

وهدفت الندوة إلى تقديم شرح واف عن عمل المترجم الفوري العسكري .وكيفية التعامل مع الموقف بين الماضي والحاضر.

Simultaneous Interpreting in a Military Context

The Translation Department at the College of Arts organised its scientific symposium titled Simultaneous Interpreting in Military Context on Thursday at eight o’clock in the morning in the hall of Prof. Abdul Hussein Al-Fatli (Ph.D.). It is worth noting that Dean of the College of Arts Prof. Hussein Dakhil Al-Bahadli (Ph.D.) and Deputy Dean for Scientific and Postgraduate Affairs Prof. Muthanna Fadhil Dheeb (Ph.D.) attended the symposium.

The symposium was moderated by the head of the translation department, Asst. Prof. Ahmed Karim Salim (Ph.D.), and Asst. Prof. Ibrahim Talaat Ibrahim (Ph.D.) delivered the presentation.

The symposium discussed the role of the interpreter at wars throughout history in general and in Iraq after 2003 in particular. The lecturer also presented the most prominent challenges that interpreters face in the context of the level of training and the problems that may be encountered during the transfer of information in critical security circumstances.   ‏He also highlighted the most important failures that simultaneous interpreters face during military operations. He dealt with the European programme to prepare military interpreters in the military context.   ‏

The symposium aimed to provide a comprehensive explanation of the work of the interpreter and how to deal with the military situations between the past and the present.

D), and Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Chief Representative in Iraq Mr. Yoneda Gen Speeches simultaneously during a meeting held on Al-Iraqia University campus/President Office on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.

كلية الآداب تشارك احتفالية تكريم افضل ٣٠ مترجما في بيت الحكمة بمناسبة يوم الترجمة العالمي 

حضر السيد امين مجلس كلية الآداب الاستاذ المساعد الدكتور ابراهيم طلعت إبراهيم ممثلا عن السيد عميد كلية الآداب الاستاذ الدكتور حسين داخل البهادلي المحترم الاحتفالية التي أقامته قسم الدراسات اللغوية والترجمية في بيت الحكمة لتكريم افضل ٣٠ مترجما  في العام ٢٠٢٣ يوم الخميس الموافق ٥-١٠-٢٠٢٣ في تمام الساعة العاشرة صباحا في قاعة الندوات/ بيت الحكمة.

وألقى ممثلُ  السيد العميد كلمة العمادة  مبينا فيه حرص عمادة الكلية على دعم الترجمة والمترجمين من خلال استحداث قسم الترجمة في العام الدراسي ٢٠١٤-٢٠١٥  و استحداث أول مختبر ترجمة فورية في العراق في العام ٢٠١٦. ونقل ممثل السيد العميد تحيات العمادة إلى بيت الحكمة/ قسم الدراسات اللغوية والترجمية بمناسبة يوم الترجمة العالمي.

وفي الختام، تمّ تكريم السيد العميد المحترم بشهادة تقديرية ودرع وتسلمه بالنيابة عن  السيد العميد السيد امين مجلس الكلية

College of Arts Participates in Ceremony Organized by the Department of Linguistics and Translation at the House of Wisdom to Reward Best 30 Translators 

The College of Arts Council Secretary, Asst. Prof. Ibrahim Talaat Ibrahim (Ph. D.), represented Mr. Dean, Prof. Hussein Dakhil Al-Bahadli (Ph. D.), at the ceremony held by the Department of Linguistic and Translation Studies at the House of Wisdom to reward the best 30 translators in the year 2023. This event took place on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 10:00 AM in the Conference Hall at the House of Wisdom.

The representative of Mr. Dean delivered a speech, expressing the college's commitment to support translation and translators, including the establishment of the Translation Department in the academic year 2014–2015 as well as the opening of Iraq's first simultaneous interpreting lab in 2016. He sent the Deanship's best regards to the House of Wisdom, the Department of Linguistic and Translation Studies, on the occasion of International Translation Day.

Finally, Mr. Dean was rewarded with a certificate of appreciation and a shield, and Mr. College of Arts Council Secretary received the rewards on his behalf.

I delivered a paper in the field of written translation: the translation of sport terms in political contexts from English into Arabic international Translation Day Conference organised by the Torjoman Al-Arab Association. It is worth noting that a large number of university professors and translators from the Arab world and the entire world participated in this great event.
