Faculty Member at College of Arts Participates in International Conference
Faculty member at Department of Translation/ College of Arts/ Al-Iraqia University Participated in the 1st International Scientific Translation Conference organized by Torjoman Al-Arab Foundation based in UAE in co-operation with 12 International Organizations from 3 to 4/7/ 2022 via Zoom Meetings Platform.
He presented a lecture titled: (Consecutive Interpreting of English-Arabic Scientific Speeches: Problems and Solutions).
The conference included many lectures delivered by professors from all over the world.
It aimed at presenting the most important topics with reference to the scientific translation and means of answering difficulties associated with the process of rendering scientific terms from one language into another. This is why, Assistant Professor Ibrahim delivered two recommendations, they are presented below:
1. Consecutive interpreters must follow strategies
2. Design new ones.
It is worth mentioning that the lecturer presented a new strategy titled (Transformational Strategy) where it mitigates the pressure mounted on the Consecutive Interpreter's mind.

شارك الاستاذ المساعد ابراهيم طلعت ابراهيم التدريسي في قسم الترجمة/ كلية الآداب/ الجامعة العراقية في مؤتمر الترجمة العلمية الدولي الاول الذي اقامته مؤسسة ترجمان العرب في الامارات العربية المتحدة بالتعاون مع ١٢ منظمة دولية من ٣ الى ٤ / ٧/ ٢٠٢٢ على منصة الزووم.
وقدم الاستاذ المساعد ابراهيم محاضرة علمية بعنوان: (الترجمة التعاقبية المتعلقة بالخطابات العلمية من الانكليزية الى العربية: المشكلات والحلول)
وتضمن المؤتمر الكثير من المحاضرات والمداخلات القيمة التي قدمها اساتذة الترجمة من مختلف الدول العربية.
وهدف المؤتمر الى تقديم اهم الموضوعات التي تعنى في مجال الترجمة العلمية وكيفية ايجاد الحلول لمشكلة المصطلح العلمي وقدم الاستاذ المساعد ابراهيم توصيات منها يجب على المترجم التعاقبي العمل على اتباع استراتيجيات ترجمية حديثة او ابتكار اخرى جديدة وقدم ايضا استراتيجية جديدة ابتكرها تسمى الاستراتيجية التحولية التي تهدف الى تقليل الضغط والجهد على على المترجم التعاقبي.
