New Academic Contributions اسهامان علميان جديدان

الحمد لله،

نشرت بحثين مشتركين مع طالبين من طلبة قسم الترجمة المتخرجين لهذا العام الدراسي ٢٠٢٣-٢٠٢٤ في مجلة علمية محكمة. إذ نشرت بحثي المشترك الأول مع الباحثة (المترجمة) نور الهدى علاء سعدي في مجال الترجمة السمعية والمرئية، والثاني مع الباحث (المترجم) عباس محمد حسن في مجال تعريب ألعاب الفيديو.

All praise is to Almighty Allah,

I published two papers with two graduate students from the class of 2023-2024 in a scientific refereed journal. The first paper is co-authored with researcher Noor Al-Huda Alaa Saadi and is concerned with Audiovisual Translation. The second one is co-authored with researcher Abbas Muhammad Hassan and is about video game localization.

I translated two articles published in the second issue of Gilgamesh Journal in 2024, issued by Dar Al-Mamoon for Translation and Publishing, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities.

كلية الآداب تقيم تعاونًا علميًّا مع وزارة الثقافة والسياحة والآثار

أقامت كلية الآداب، ممثلةً بالسيد أمين مجلس الكلية الأستاذ المساعد الدكتور إبراهيم طلعت إبراهيم، تعاونًا علميًّا مع وزارة الثقافة والسياحة والآثار - دار المأمون للترجمة والنشر، من خلال الندوة العلمية الموسومة (الترجمة الفورية في عصر التكنولوجيا) في دار المأمون للترجمة والنشر - قاعة طارق العبيدي، يوم الأربعاء الموافق ٣-٧-٢٠٢٤.

وفي مستهل الندوة، ألقى مدير عام الدار الدكتور محمود المعماري كلمة ترحيبية بالدكتور إبراهيم وبيّن أهمية الترجمة ودور المترجم الفوري.

وقدم المحاضر الندوة التي أدارتها مديرة التدريب في دار المأمون، الدكتورة زينب عبد اللطيف صالح. وسلط المحاضر الضوء على تاريخ الترجمة الفورية، وتعريفها، وأنواعها، واستراتيجياتها، والترجمة الفورية والتكنولوجيا، والاستنتاجات.

وهدفت الندوة إلى الإجابة على السؤال الذي طرحه المحاضر في بداية الندوة: هل يمكن للتكنولوجيا أن تحل محل المترجم الفوري البشري؟ وأجاب المحاضر بأن التكنولوجيا لا يمكن أن تحل محل المترجم الفوري البشري نظرًا لدقة العملية وتعقيدها، لكن يمكن للمترجم الفوري البشري الاستفادة من الأدوات التكنولوجية في عملية الترجمة.

وحضر الندوة جمع كبير من الأكاديميين والباحثين والمترجمين والطلبة. وفي الختام، طرح الحاضرون الكثير من التساؤلات التي أثرت الندوة.

College of Arts Organizes Scientific Cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities

The College of Arts, represented by the Secretary of the College Council, Asst. Prof. Ibrahim Talaat Ibrahim, Ph. D. has organized a scientific cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities - Al-Mamoun House for Translation and Publishing. This cooperation was marked by a scientific symposium titled "Simultaneous Interpretation in the Age of Technology," held at Al-Mamoun House for Translation and Publishing - Tarek Al-Obaidi Hall, on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.

At the beginning of the symposium, the Director General of the House, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Maamari, delivered a welcoming speech to Dr. Ibrahim and highlighted the importance of translation and the role of the simultaneous interpreter.

The symposium, which was moderated by the Director of Training at Al-Mamoun House, Dr. Zainab Abdul Latif Saleh, featured a lecture that focused on the history of simultaneous interpretation, its definition, types, strategies, and the relationship between simultaneous interpretation and technology, as well as the conclusions drawn from these discussions.

The symposium aimed to answer the question posed by the lecturer at the beginning of the session: Can technology replace the human simultaneous interpreter? The lecturer concluded that technology cannot replace the human simultaneous interpreter due to the precision and complexity of the process. However, human interpreters can benefit from technological tools in their work.

The event was attended by a large number of academics, researchers, translators, and students. In conclusion, the attendees posed numerous questions that enriched the symposium.

College of Arts - Al-Iraqia University Organizes New Scientific Collaboration with Iraqi Union of Writers

College of Arts Organizes Academic Collaboration with the General Union of Writers in Iraq

The College of Arts, represented by Dr. Ibrahim Talaat Ibrahim, Assistant Professor and Secretary of the College Council, has established an academic collaboration with the General Union of Writers in Iraq. This collaboration was inaugurated through a panel discussion held at the Translation Club of the Union, entitled "An Overview of the Legendary Ukrainian Writer, Translator, and Poet Taras Shevchenko," at the Al-Jawahiri Hall in the Union's building.

The panel discussion was moderated and interpreted by Dr. Ibrahim Talaat Ibrahim and presented by the translator Abbas Aziz Ali. The speaker highlighted many significant moments in Shevchenko's life through his national poems, artworks, and plays.

Translator Abbas presented several of Shevchenko's poems, translated from the intermediary language, English, into Arabic. The session's moderator posed questions to the speaker on various topics related to literature and translation, to which the speaker provided comprehensive answers.

The panel discussion was attended by representatives from the Ukrainian Embassy in Baghdad, including the Chargé d'Affaires, Mr. Alexander, and the Military Attaché, as well as Professor Dr. Thamer Al-Kadhimi, President of Al-Karkh University. The event also saw the participation of numerous academics, intellectuals, researchers, and students.

The attendees raised numerous questions that enriched the panel discussion.

كلية الآداب تقيم تعاوناً علمياً مع الاتحاد العام للأدباء والكتاب في العراق

أقامت كلية الآداب ممثلة بالسيد امين مجلس الكلية الاستاذ المساعد الدكتور ابراهيم طلعت ابراهيم تعاوناً علمياً مع الاتحاد العام للأدباء والكتاب في العراق من خلال إقامة جلسة حوارية في نادي الترجمة في الاتحاد وبعنوان (لمحة عن الاديب والمترجم والشاعر الأوكراني تاراس شفشنكو الشخصية الاسطورية) في مبنى الاتحاد العام للأدباء والكتاب - قاعة الجواهري.

وادار الجلسة الحوارية وترجم الجلسة الاستاذ المساعد الدكتور ابراهيم طلعت ابراهيم وقدمها المترجم عباس عزيز علي. وبيّن المحاضر الكثير من المحطات التي شهدها شفشنكو في حياته عبر القصائد الوطنية واللوحات الفنية والمسرحيات.

وقدم المترجم عباس عددا من القصائد المترجمة لشفشكنو من اللغة الوسيطة وهي الانكليزية وترجمها الي العربية وطرح مدير الجلسة اسئلة على المحاضر في شتى المجلات المتعلقة بالأدب والترجمة واجاب المحاضر على الأسئلة كافة.

وحضر الجلسة الحوارية السفارة الأوكرانية في بغداد ممثلا بالقائم بالأعمال السيد اليكسندر والملحق العسكري والاستاذ الدكتور ثامر الكاظمي رئيس جامعة الكرخ وجمع كبير من الأكاديميين المثقفين والباحثين والطلبة.

وطرح الحاضرون الكثير من التساؤلات التي أثرت الجلسة الحوارية

قصيدة عيد الغدير الأغر

السلام عليكم جميعا...

اضع هذا العمل بين أيديكم بمناسبة اقتراب حلول عيد الغدير الأغر :

في يومِ الغديرِ الأغرِّ احتفى النهارُ  

وأشرقَ بالحقِّ وجهٌ قد حواهُ الديارُ  

عليٌّ أميرُ المؤمنينَ وليُّنا  

وبيتُ النبوةِ منهجٌ ونِبراسٌ وافتخارُ  

نبيُّ الهُدى في خمٍّ أعلنَ للأمةِ  

من كنتُ مولاهُ فهذا عليٌّ جدارُ  

يا يومَ الغديرِ قد سماك الشرفُ  

وألبستَ آلَ البيتِ مجداً يَزهُرُ  

بحبِّك يا حيدرُ، نبقى على العهدِ  

وإيمانُنا في الحقِّ، لا ينحسرُ  

يا عليُّ، يا علمَ الهُدى والبصيرةِ  

عليكَ السلامُ ما أشرقت شمسٌ وأقمارُ  

من كنتَ أميرَه، لا يخشى ظلامَ  

وأهلَ البيتِ، حبُّهم في القلبِ يسارُ  

نُبايعك يا سيفَ العدالةِ والكرامةِ  

ومن نبايع، كلُّ فضلٍ بهِ يغتارُ  

فلتبقى يا يومَ الغديرِ في ذكرى  

تُحيا بكَ الأيامُ، والدنيا تُنارُ
