قسم الترجمة يوظف خبرات تدريسييه لخدمة موقع الجامعة العراقية الالكتروني

باشر قسم الترجمة في كلية الآداب بتسخير خبرات تدريسييه لخدمة الموقع الالكتروني للجامعة العراقية .

وقال المدرس المساعد ابراهيم طلعت ابراهيم مقرر قسم الترجمة انه قد باشر بترجمة أنشطة موقع الجامعة الى اللغة الانكليزية وذلك لتعزيز الأهداف التي ينشدها الموقع في استخدام أكثر من لغة في صفحاته الالكترونية وإيصال صوت جامعتنا المعطاء الى المحافل والمؤسسات الاكاديمية العالمية والتعريف بانشطتها المختلفة

وأكد المدرس المساعد إبراهيم طلعت استعداد قسم الترجمة وبدعم وتوجيه من عمادة كلية الاداب لتقديم خبرات تدريسييه الى أقسام الجامعة كافة والى اية مؤسسة هي بحاجة الى اختصاصات وخبرات هذا القسم .

Translation Department has started employing its teaching staff experiences to serve AL-Iraqia University Website.

Besides, Deputy Head of Translation Department Assistant Instructor Ibrahim Talaat Ibrahim said that he has started translating website news into English so as to strengthen all the website goals in the field of using more than one language in its pages not to mention reaching out our university voice to international institutions and academic foundations and presenting its different activities.

On the top of that, Assistant Instructor Ibrahim Talaat Ibrahim stressed on the fact that Translation Department, with the support and guidance of the college of Arts Deanship, is ready to offer its teaching staff experiences to all departments of our university and to any institution in need of Translation Department specializations and experiences.

الضلوعية رمز الشجاعة

زرنا صباح اليوم برفقة نخبة من اعضاء منظمة عيون الثقافة الانسانية محافظة صلاح الدين/ ناحية الضلوعية البطلة. ومن الجدير بالذكر ان سكانها دافعوا  عن ارضهم وعرضهم بكل ماتحمل الكلمة من معنى. والتقينا بوجهاء الضلوعية الكرام الذين استقبلونا بحرارة وبينوا لنا كيف قاوم اهالي المنطقة الارهاب.

وزرنا مقبرة حماة الديار التي احتضنت عراقيين من مختلف المحافظات والمكونات الذين ضحوا بكل مالديهم من اجل جعل مدينتهم طاهرة من الارهاب. بمعنى اخر, الضلوعية رمز الوحدة الوطنية والاخاء.  ونشكر اهاليها الشرفاء على كرم الضيافة.

ونثمن جهود الجيش العراقي الباسل والحشد العشائري الوطني والحشد الشعبي البطل. حفظ الله العراق وشعبه جميعا.

AL-Dhuluiya: Symbol of Bravery

We and elite of Culture eye Humanitarian Organization members (NGO) visited Saladin Province/ AL-Dhuluiya Administrative Unit today morning. It is worth mentioning that the people of above mentioned city defended their land and honour by all means. Moreover, we met with its leaders who received us warmly. Besides, they told us how its people fought terrorism. And we paid a visit to Hummat AL-Watan Cemetery that embraced Iraqis from different provinces and ethnicities who sacrificed all they had to make their area terrorism-free. In other words, AL-Dhuluiya is defined as a symbol of national unity and brotherhood. Furthermore, we are very thankful to its people's hospitality. And we appreciate the efforts of Iraqi Armed Forces, Tribal and Popular Mobilization Forces. May Allah Bless Iraq and all Iraqis.

قسم الترجمة يفوز بمسابقة المعرفة السنوية الثانية لكلية الاداب

 

أقامت كلية الآداب في الجامعة العراقية يوم الاثنين 25 /4/2016 مسابقة المعرفة السنوية الثانية بين طلبتي المرحلة الأولى لقسمي اللغة الانكليزية والترجمة .

وحضر المسابقة عميد الكلية الأستاذ الدكتور حسين داخل البهادلي ومعاون العميد للشؤون الإدارية أ.م.د صلاح احمد شلال وأعضاء الهيئة التدريسية وجمع من طلبة قسمي الترجمة واللغة الانكليزية .

وتألفت لجنة التحكيم من أ.د فاتن خيري الرفاعي و د. شماء مصطفى حميد و م.م ابراهيم طلعت ابراهيم و م.م جلال حاتم و م. جذلى احمد محمود و م.م طيبة عبد الكريم والست أدماء صباح رشيد .

وتكون فريق قسم اللغة الانكليزية من الطلبة ريام جليل عيدان و رانية عبد الرزاق حسين وعبد الحكم زياد طارق وعلي زامل عبود و مرتضى عبد الكريم - فيما تكون الفريق الطلابي لقسم الترجمة من الطلبة ميسرة احمد حسن وفرح جعفر ضياء ومحمد اياد محمد وعبد الله حيدر إبراهيم وأيوب مشتاق حكمت .

واشتملت المسابقة على توجيه مجموعة من الأسئلة في جوانب مختلفة من فروع اللغة الانكليزية والترجمة فضلا عن المعلومات العامة .

وقد تبارى الفريقان وتنافسا على الإجابة التي عكست حرص الطلبة وهم في المرحلة الاولى على الاستزادة من العلوم والمعارف وحب التفوق وتحقيق المراتب العلمية المتقدمة .

وأسفرت المسابقة عن فوز فريق قسم الترجمة وقد أثنى السيد العميد على مضامين وأهداف هذه الفعالية ووجه بان تكون تقليدا سنويا للقسمين وان يقتدي بها في بقية أقسام الكلية.

 

Translation Dept. Wins 2^nd Annual Knowledge Contest

AL-Iraqia University/ College of Arts organized on Monday 25/4/2016 the Second Annual Knowledge Contest between Translation and English Departments' First Year Students.    

The Contest was attended by Dean of College of Arts Professor Doctor Hussein Dakhil AL-Bahadli, Deputy Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs Assistant Professor Doctor Salah Shalal, Teaching Staff Members and Translation and English Departments Students.  

Besides, the supervising committee embraced: Professor Doctor Fatin Khairi AL-Rifai', Dr. Shamma Mustafa Hameed, Assistant Instructor Ibrahim Talaat Ibrahim, Assistant Instructor Jalal Hatim, Instructor Jathla Ahmed Mahmoud, Assistant Instructor Teeba Abdulkareem and Miss Adma Sabah Rasheed.   

As for English Dept. Team, it consisted of the following students whose names are mentioned below: Riyam Jaleel Idan, Ranya Abdulrazzaq Hussein, Abdulhakam Ziad Tariq, Ali Zamil Abod and Murtadha Abdulkareem whereas, Translation Dept Team contained the following Students: Maysara Ahmed Hasan, Farah Ja'afar Dhia, Mohaamad Iyad Mohammad, Abdullah Haider Ibrahim and Ayoub Mushtaq Hikmat.   

Moreover, the contest in question included directing a collection of questions concerning different aspects of English and Translation not to mention general knowledge.  

Furthermore, both teams competed in their answers that reflected freshmen's commitment in gaining knowledge and achieving their ultimate scientific goals.

Finally, Translation Dept. Team won the contest and Dean of College of Arts praised the contents and the goals of this activity. And he also stressed that this activity should be prepared between the abovementioned Departments every academic year. Besides, all departments have to make it their role model.

توظيف الاندفاع في تعلم اللغة الانكليزية في محاضرة بكلية الآداب

 

استضافت كلية الآداب في الجامعة العراقية يوم الأربعاء 6/4/2016 طلبة معهدي المعلمين والمعلمات في الرصافة الثانية في المحاضرة الثانية ضمن برنامج التعاون العلمي بين كلية الآداب والمعهدين .

وحضر الفعالية معاون العميد للشؤون الادارية الاستاذ المساعد الدكتور صلاح احمد شلال ومعاون العميد للشؤون العلمية والدراسات العليا الأستاذ المساعد الدكتور مثنى نعيم حمادي ورئيس قسم اللغة العربية أ.د يوسف خلف محل ومقرر قسم اللغة الانكليزية م.م ياسر احمد فضلا عن الدكتورة نضال العبادي رئيسة منظمة عيون الثقافة الإنسانية والست هديل محسن رئيسة قسم اللغة الانكليزية في معهد إعداد المعلمات الرصافة الثانية .

واستهلت فعالية التعاون العلمي بمحاضرة لمقرر قسم الترجمة في كلية الآداب م.م إبراهيم طلعت ابراهيم بعنوان (توظيف الاندفاع في تعلم اللغة الانكليزية).

وقدم المحاضر للطلبة تجربته في بناء كيانه العلمي والمعرفي مؤكدا على ضرورة ان يتسلح طالب العلم بالمهارات المتكاملة للغة الانكليزية مقرونة بالأساليب الحديثة في نقل المعلومة وأهمها: (الكتابة،القراءة،الاصغاء،المحادثة) ،اما الاساليب الحديثة في التعلم فقد اكد المحاضر على ضرورة الاعتماد على المستجد من هذه الأساليب ومنها العارض الرقمي وإنشاء المجموعات الدراسية وغير ذلك من وسائل وطرائق الحصول على المعارف والمعلومات .

تلت ذلك محاضر للدكتورة شماء مصطفى حميد رئيسة قسم اللغة الانكليزية تناولت فيها ثوابت في التدريس وهي الضمير والهمة العالية والعقل والعلم والاعتدال .

واختتمت المحاضرتان بمداخلات وآراء شارك فيها الحضور من تدريسيين وطلبة

College of Arts Organizes a Lecture Titled "Employing Motivation in Learning English"

AL-Iraqia University/College of Arts hosted on Wednesday 6-4-2016 students of Teachers Training Institute for (Men and Women)/Second-Rusafa Area in its second lecture through a scientific co-operative program between College of Arts and the Institutes.

Besides, the lecture was attended by Deputy Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs Assistant Professor Doctor Salah Ahmed, Deputy Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies Assistant Professor Doctor Muthanna Na'eem, Head of Arabic Language Department Professor Doctor Yousif Khalaf, Deputy Head of English Department Assistant Instructor Yasir Ahmed, Head of Oyon AL-Thaqafa Non-governmental Organization Doctor Nidhal Al-Abadi and Miss Hadeel Head of English Department at the Teacher Training Institute for Women/Second Rusafa Area.

Moreover, we presented the first lecture which was titled "The Employment of Motivation in Learning English"

And we gave a brief overview about our personal experience in building our scientific entity. On the top of that, we confirmed the significance of arming students with the integrated skills of learning English, they are as follows: "Writing, Reading, Listening and Speaking". After that, we highlighted the importance of new methods of teachings including:

1. Using  Data Show
2.  Creating study groups on social media…etc.

                                                                                           

Then, it was followed by another lecture for Doctor Shamma Head of English Department that dealt with Conscience, High Motivation, Mind, Knowledge and Fairness. 

The lectures were concluded by questions and viewpoints raised by a numbers of teachers and students.

شارك قسم الترجمة في كلية الاداب ممثلأ بمقرر قسم الترجمة المدرس المساعد ابراهيم طلعت ابراهيم في الندوة العلمية الثقافية الثالثة والستين لجمعية المترجمين العراقيين  بعنوان "ترجمة كيفية وقوع الحدث" التي القاها المحاضر العراقي في جامعة نزوى في سلطنة عمان الدكتور علي فيصل المناع يوم السبت الموافق 26/3/2016على قاعة المرحوم الدكتور عناد غزوان في مقر الجمعية.

وبين المقرر ان المحاضر قد سلط الضوء على اوجه الاختلاف بين الزمن ووقت وقوع الحدث وكيفية  معرفة وقت الحدث واليات ترجمة الازمنة والاحداث وكيفية كتابة المترجم التعليق المطلوب على عمله المترجم.

 

Translation Department/ College of Arts/AL-Iraqia University Participates in Symposium titled "The Translation of Aspects"

Deputy Head of Translation Department at College of Arts/AL-Iraqia Assistant Instructor Ibrahim Talaat Ibrahim attended the Sixty Third Scientific and Cultural Symposium of Iraqi Translators' Association titled "The Translation of Aspects" presented by Doctor Ali Faisal AL-Manna (Professor at University of Nizwa - Oman) on Saturday 26/3/2016 on Doctor Inad Ghazwan Hall at Iraqi Translators' Association HQ.

The Deputy Head said that that the Lecturer highlighted the differences between tenses and aspects, means of distinguishing tenses and aspects, how to translate tenses and aspects and how a translator annotates on his translation.

قسم الترجمة في الاداب يشارك في ندوة جمعية المترجمين الثامنة والخمسين الثقافية

شارك قسم الترجمة في كلية الاداب/الجامعة العراقية ممثلا بمقرر قسم الترجمة المدرس المساعد ابراهيم طلعت ابراهيم في الندوة التي نظمتها جمعية المترجمين العراقيين الثامنة والخمسين الثقافية والموسومة ب "ترجمة المختصرات والرموز في النصوص" للاستاذ الدكتور موفق المصلح يوم السبت الموافق 23/1/2016 التي اقيمت في قاعة الدكتور عناد غزوان في مقر الجمعية.

وبين مقرر قسم ان المحاضر تحدث عن اهمية اتقان ترجمة المختصرات والرموز في النصوص على نحو دقيق لعدم احداث مشكلة جوهرية في النص المترجم وقال ايضأ ان اللغات الاوربية ومن ضمنها الانجليزية تميل الى التعويل على المتخصرات كثيرا ويعزى هذا لاسباب اقتصادية وفنية وتوفير الوقت ايضأ ولذلك وضعت قوانين صارمة بشأن استخدام المختصرات والية تطويرها في تلك اللغات . فتوجد ظاهرات مختلفة تشير الى استخدام المختصرات وعلى نحو واضح ففي سبيل ظاهرة استخدام المختصرات في الرسائل النصية وفي شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي. فتوجد صعوبة في فهم تلك المختصرات ان لم يفهم القارئ طبيعتها. وتكثر استخدامها في مجال الصحافة والتلفزيون والهندسة والطب...الخ. وتوجد مختصرات جديدة ورموز تدخل الى اللغات في العالم كل عام لذلك لابد من وجود الية علمية تهدف الى جمعها في قاموس او موسوعة تساعد المترجم في عملية نقل المعنى من لغة الى المصدر الى الهدف. وتطرق المحاضر الى كثرة استخدام المختصرات في الترجمة التعاقبية لان المترجم لايملك وقتا كافيا للتفكير فعليه ان يستخدم الكثير منها لاتقان عمله.

وخلص المحاضر الى عدة نتائج وهي كما يلي:

1. تأليف قواميس تخصصية للمختصرات.
2. وضع قوانين ثابتة ومحددة للمختصرات والرموز.
3. توحيد المختصرات في العالم العربي.
4. تنسيق المواقف والاراء بين المجامع العلمية.
5. الاستفادة من اللغات الاجنبية
6. أقامة دورات تدريبية حول الاختزال للصحفيين.
7. متابعة المتغيرات في كل سنة.
8. تدريس الموضوع في اللغة العربية

Translation Department/ College of Arts Participates in the 58^th ITA Cultural Seminar

Deputy Head of Translation Department/ College of Arts/ AL-Iraqia University Assistant Instructor Ibrahim Talaat Ibrahim participated in the 58^th Cultural Seminar organized by Iraqi Translators' Association. It is titled "The Translation of Abbreviations and Symbols in Texts" presented by Professor Doctor Mwafaq AL-Muslih on Saturday 23/1/2016 in Doctor Inad Ghazwan Hall in the Association Headquarters.   

The Deputy Head of the Department said that the lecturer highlighted the importance of mastering the translation of abbreviations and symbols so as not to cause an essential problem in the translated text. And he also referred to the fact that European languages including English tend to employ as many abbreviations, acronyms and symbols as possible for reasons of economy, style and time as well. Therefore, hard measures were taken concerning the use of abbreviations and means of developing them in these languages. Besides, there are different phenomena with reference to the employment of abbreviations such as SMS and Social Media. Moreover, there is a difficulty in grasping these abbreviations if the reader does not understand its nature. And they are mostly used in Press, Mass Media, Engineering and Medicine etc. on the top of that, there are new abbreviations in all languages every year. This is why, there must be a scientific mechanism aiming at gathering them in a dictionary or an encyclopedia to help the translator concerned render the meaning from source language into the target language. Furthermore, the lecturer shedded lights on the overuse of abbreviations in consecutive interpretation because the interpreter doesn't have much time to think about options so, he has to use a lot of them to mater his work.

He presented a number of conclusions at the end of the seminar. They are as follows:

1. Making dictionaries specialized in abbreviations.
2. Taking fixed measures concerning symbols and abbreviations.
3. Uniting all the abbreviations in the Arab World.
4. Coordinating all the stances and visions among Arab Scientific Academies.
5. Getting benefit from foreign languages.
6. Organizing training courses with regard to ways of learning abbreviations for journalists.
7. Following variables every year.
8. Teaching abbreviation subject in Arabic.

زيارة قسم الترجمة العلمية الى وزارة الثقافة/دار المأمون لترجمة والنشر

زار قسم الترجمة المتمثل بمقرر القسم م.م. ابراهيم طلعت ابراهيم والتدريسي م.م. قيس هاشم احمد برفقة نخبة من طلبة المرحلة الثانية/الدراسة الصباحية وزارة الثقافة/دار المأمون للترجمة والنشر يوم الثلاثاء الموافق 12/1/2016 وذلك بناء على توصيات عميد كلية الاداب الاستاذ الدكتور حسين البهادلي الذي دعم الزيارة من اجل كلية الاداب عموما وقسم الترجمة خصوصأ وتواصلا مع المؤسسات الحكومية المعنية خدمة للطالب والترجمة.

والتقى قسم الترجمة بالدكتور شفيق المهدي المدير العام لدار المأمون وجميع رؤساء اقسام الدار. ونقل مقرر القسم تحيات السيد العميد الدكتور حسين البهادلي عميد كلية الاداب ورحب المدير العام بعميد كليتنا وقسم الترجمة والطلبة. واشاد الدكتور شفيق بالزيارة. وتكلم مقرر القسم مع رؤساء الاقسام كافة وذلك لتوطيد العلاقات الثقافية والعلمية مع كليتنا البهية لخدمة رؤى الكلية والمسيرة التعليمية. وناقش قسم الترجمة افاق التعاون مع دار المأمون فيما يتعلق بما يلي:

1. أقامة ندوات ثقافية وعلمية في رحاب الاداب
2. تنظيم دورات في مجال الترجمة التحريرية والفورية لطلبتنا لأجل تحقيق متطلبات سوق العمل
3. تنظيم معرض للكتاب (بيع مباشر) في رحاب الاداب يحتضن انجازات الدار.

واطلع  قسم الترجمة على اقسام الدار ومنها قسم الترجمة الفورية وعلى عدد من الدورات في مجال الترجمة والية تطوير ترجمة العناوين الخاصة بالافلام السينمائية والوثائقية. وشكر قسم الترجمة دار المأمون على حسن الضيافة والتعاون. وقال المدير العام للدار لمقرر قسم الترجمة  م.م. ابراهيم طلعت ابراهيم و م.م. قيس هاشم احمد والطلبة يشرفنا ان نتعاون مع كلية الاداب عموما وقسم الترجمة خصوصأ في جميع المجالات العلمية والثقافية لان كلية الاداب/الجامعة العراقية السباقة في تنمية الطلبة علميأ وتطويرهم اكاديميا. وختم  المدير العام حديثه بأبداء بعض النصائح لطلاب الترجمة كافة اذ قال على المترجم ان يكون متطلعأ على ثقافات كثيرة وعليه ان يكون ضليعا في اللغتين (لغة المصدر ولغة الهدف) وعليه ان يحظى بالشغف في الترجمة من اجل وضع لمسات ابداعية في عمله واهم شيء قراءة الكثير من المؤلفات الادبية ليصبح للمترجم ملكة في الترجمة.   

 

    

AL-Iraqia University/ College of Arts/ Translation Department Scientific Visit to Ministry of Culture/AL-Mamoon House for Translation and Publishing

Deputy Head of Translation Department Assistant Instructor Ibrahim Talaat Ibrahim, Assistant Instructor Qais Hashim Ahmed and a group of second year students- morning studies paid a scientific visit to Ministry of Culture/AL-Mamoon House for Translation and Publishing on Tuesday 1/12/2016 in accordance with the recommendations of Dean of College of Arts Professor Doctor Hussein AL-Bahadli. Besides, the Dean supported the scientific visit to enrich College of Arts in general and Translation Department in Particular and to be in touch with governmental institutions concerned to serve our students and translation process. 

Moreover, Translation Department Delegation met with AL-Mamoon House Director General Dr. Shafeeq AL-Mehadi. And the Deputy Head of Translation Department sent College of Arts Dean Professor Doctor Hussein AL-Bahadli best regard to the Director General and Dr. Shafeeq welcame the Dean, Translation Department and its students. In addition, Dr. Shafeeq praised our scientific visit to the House in question. And the Deputy Head of Translation Department held talks with all AL-Mamoon House Heads of Departments so as to strengthen the cultural and scientific bonds between our college and the house to boost our college visions and higher education. On the top of that, Translation Department discussed horizons of co-operations with AL-Mamoon House, they are presented below:

-Organizing cultural and scientific seminars in College of Arts.

-Organizing written and simultaneous translation courses for our   students to meet the needs of the labour market requirements.

-Presenting all AL-Mamoon House achievements in a book fair in College of Arts to let students be in touch with their great works.

Besides, Translation Department visited Al-Mamoon House Departments including Simultaneous Interpretation Department and a number of courses in the field of translation such as Movie Subtitle Translation Course. And Translation Department expressed its gratitude to AL-Mamoon House for their hospitality and co-operation. And the Director General told Deputy Head of Translation Department Assistant Instructor Ibrahim Talaat Ibrahim, Assistant Instructor Qais Hashim Ahmed and Translation Students the following: it is an honour to co-operate with College of Arts in general and Translation Department in particular in the scientific and cultural fields because College of Arts/ AL-Iraqia University is always the one in developing students academically. And Dr. Shafeeq concluded his word by giving translation students a number of pieces of advice, they are as follows:

1. The translator should be bi-cultural if not multi-cultural.
2. He must be well-versed in the source and target languages.
3. He has to love what he does so as to add his creative touches.
4. And the important point is to read as many literary works as possible to be able to write well.
