قسم الترجمة في الآداب يقيم دورة تدريبية حول آليات الترجمة الاعلامية

نظم قسم الترجمة في كلية الآداب الجامعة العراقية دورة تدريبية تحت عنوان "الترجمة الإعلامية وآليات ترجمة العناوين الإخبارية" بالتعاون مع مؤسسة الدر للإغاثة والتنمية.

وبين مقرر قسم الترجمة المدرس المساعد ابراهيم طلعت ابراهيم انه القى محاضرة في الدورة التي اقيمت يوم السبت ١٧-١١-٢٠١٧ تناولت تعريفا للترجمة الإعلامية وأنواع النصوص المدرجة في هذا المجال وآليات ترجمة العناوين الإخبارية ونظريات ترجمة النصوص الاعلامية.

وحضر الدورة جمع من الأكاديميين والإعلاميين والمترجمين الذين اغنوا الدورة من خلال نقاشاتهم ومداخلاتهم.

Translation Dept. /College of Arts Organizes Training Course over Media Translation Methods

Department of Translation at College of Arts/ AL-Iraqia University organized a training course titled "Media Translation and Methods of Translating News Headlines" in co-operation with AL-Dur Foundation for Relief and Development.

As for the lecturer, Deputy Head of Translation Department Assistant Instructor Ibrahim Talaat Ibrahim gave his lecture in the course whose title mentioned above on Saturday 17-11-2017. It dealt with the definition of media translation, its text types, news headlines translation methods and its theories of translation.

It is worth mentioning that a group of academics, media figures and translators attended the course concerned and their discussions and remarks made it very interactive.

اداب العراقية تنظم ورشة عمل مع كلية النسور الجامعة

نظمت كلية الآداب/الجامعة العراقية ممثلة بقسم الترجمة ورشة عمل بعنوان "الترجمة والغموض" بالتعاون مع كلية النسور الجامعة/قسم اللغة الانكليزية يوم السبت الموافق 11/11/2017. وقدم مقرر قسم الترجمة المدرس المساعد ابراهيم طلعت ابراهيم ورشة العمل وسلط التدريسي الضوء على تعريفات الغموض في اللغة وانواعه وكيفية ازالة الغموض من المفردة او العبارة الغامضة في النص المطلوب ترجمته. وتوصل التدريسي في نهاية ورشة العمل الى عدة نتائج تهدف الى توضيح الغموض في النص.
وحضر الورشة رئيس قسم اللغة الانكليزية الاستاذ الدكتورة نظام شيت ومقرر القسم المدرس المساعد عباس جلال واعضاء هيئة التدريس وجميع طلبة المرحلة الثانية والثالثة في قسم اللغة الانكليزية. وتخللت ورشة العمل نقاشات مع اعضاء هيئة التدريس والطلبة التي اغنت ورشة العمل

Al-Iraqia University/ College of Arts/ Translation Department

 organized a workshop, titled "Translation and Ambiguity", in co-operation with AL-Nisour University College on Saturday 11/11/2017. And Deputy Head of Translation Department Assistant Instructor Ibrahim Talaat Ibrahim presented the workshop. He focused on definitions of ambiguity, its types, and means of disambiguating the ambiguous word or expression in the required text. Moreover, the teaching staff member reached a number of conclusions aiming at removing vagueness of the text at the end of the workshop.
And the workshop was attended by Head of Department Prof. Dr. Nidham Sheet, Deputy Head Assistant Instructor Abbas Jalal, Teaching Staff Members, Second and Third Years Students of English Department. And the workshop ended with discussions with teaching staff members and students that enriched the event.

آداب العراقية ونظيرتها في المستنصرية تنظمان حلقة نقاشية بعنوان ( صعوبات الترجمة للنص الديني(

نظمت كلية الآداب في الجامعة العراقية ممثلة بقسم الترجمة مع كلية الآداب في الجامعة المستنصرية يوم الاربعاء 1/11/2017 حلقة نقاشية بعنوان ( صعوبات الترجمة في نقل معنى النص الديني الى اللغة الانكليزية) .

وحضر الحلقة النقاشية عميد الكلية الاستاذ الدكتور حسين داخل البهادلي ومعاون العميد للشؤون العلمية والدراسات العليا أ.م. د. مثنى نعيم حمادي ومعاون العميد لشؤون الطلبة والتسجيل أ.م. د. قتيبة عبد العظيم ورؤساء الاقسام العلمية في الكلية واعضاء الهيئة التدريسية وطلبة قسم الترجمة.

وقدم الاستاذ الدكتور مهدي فالح الغزالي التدريسي في كلية الآداب الجامعة المستنصرية بحثا عن صعوبات الترجمة في نقل معنى النص الديني من خلال الاعتماد على آليات محددة ونظريات ترجمة وتفاسير قرآنية لبلورة الترجمة في لغة الهدف على نحو واضح للقارئ.

كما قدم م.م. ابراهيم طلعت ابراهيم مقرر قسم الترجمة في آداب العراقية بحثه الموسوم ( تقويم ترجمات لفظة جزاء في القرآن الكريم الى اللغة الإنكليزية مبينا ان لفظة جزاء تحتمل اكثر من معنى في القرآن الكريم فالأولى تعني التكريم والثانية تعني العقوبة واوجد الباحث آليتين للتمييز ما بين المعنيين في عملية الترجمة.

وتخللت الحلقة النقاشية اسئلة ونقاشات بمشاركة السادة التدريسيين والطلبة .

Translation Department at College of Arts/ Al-Iraqia University organized a seminar in co-operation with Translation Department at College of Arts/Al-Mustansiriya University on Wednesday 1/11/2017. It is worth mentioning that the seminar was titled by "Translation Difficulties in Rendering Religious Texts into English" on Wednesday 1-11-2017 in Prof. Dr. Rasheed Al-Obaidi Hall (May God Rest His Soul in Peace.

Moreover, it was attended by Dean of College of Arts Prof. Dr. Hussein Dakhil Al-Bahdli, Deputy Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies Asst. Prof. Dr. Muthanna Naeem Hammadi, Deputy Dean for students' Affairs and Registration Asst. Prof. Dr  Qutaibah Abduladheem, Heads of Departments, Teaching Staff Members and Students.

As for Al-Mustansiriya University participant, Prof. Dr. Mahdi Falih Al-Ghazzali delivered his paper concerning translation difficulties of religious texts, whereas Deputy Head of Translation Department at Al-Iraqia University Asst. Instr. Ibrahim Talaat Ibrahim presented his paper titled assessing the translations of the Qur'anic Word Jaza' into English.

Finally, the seminar embraced questions and discussions with teaching staff and students that enriched the event.

College of Arts Implements Awareness Campaign: Negative Use of Internetالآداب تنفذ حملة توعية عن مخاطر الاستخدام السلبي للانترنيت

الآداب تنفذ حملة توعية عن مخاطر الاستخدام السلبي للانترنيت

نفذ قسم الترجمة في كلية الآداب بالتعاون مع وحدة الانشطة الطلابية في الكلية حملة توعية عن مخاطر الاستخدام السلبي  للأنترنيت .

وتضمنت الحملة التي شارك فيها نخبة من التدريسيين والطلبة تقديم توجيهات وارشادات اوضحت مخاطر الاستخدام السلبي للانترنيت واجهزة الهاتف الجوال والاثار الاجتماعية  والمعرفية والبدنية  لهذه الوسائل على افراد المجتمع , فضلا عن نصائح عامة لضمان سلامة الاشخاص من مخاطرها .

كما ركزت الحملة على آثار الادمان على الانترنيت ولاسيما لدى شريحة الطلبة وما يشكله الاستخدام السلبي من تأثير في انخفاض مستوى التحصيل العلمي والمعرفي .

College of Arts Implements Awareness Campaign: Negative Use of Internet

Translation Department at College of Arts implemented on Tuesday 02/05/2017 in co-operation with Unit of Students' Activities at college concerned an awareness campaign with reference to the negative use of internet.

As for the campaign whose title mentioned above, it embraced elite of teaching staff members and students who gave instructions and directions to students about the dangers of negative use of internet, cell phones and their social, cognitive and physical impacts towards individuals and society as well as general pieces of advice concerning means of protecting people from its dangers.

And the campaign also focused on the effects of internet addiction especially among students and its negative impacts in weakening their scientific and cognitive acquisition.

شارك مقرر قسم الترجمة في كلية الآداب/الجامعة العراقية التدريسي ابراهيم طلعت ابراهيم  في دورة بعنوان ((اساسيات الترجمة والازمنة الانكليزية)) اقيمت بالتعاون مع مؤسسة الدر للاغاثة والتنمية  ببغداد يوم السبت 15/4/2017.

وقدم التدريسي ابراهيم طلعت محاضرة في الدورة  محاضرة من محورين الاول التعريف بالترجمة وانواعها والياتها  والخطوات اللازمة للوصول الى ترجمة جيدة.

والمحور الثاني سلط الضوء فيه على الازمنة الانكليزية .

وشارك في الدورة نخبة من الاكاديميين والاعلاميين والباحثين والطلبة. وتخللت الدورة اسئلة  ومداخلات اغنت اهدافها المنشودة .

TSM of T-D/College of Arts Participates in Course Titled Basics of Translation and English Tense

Deputy Head of Translation Department at College of Arts/ AL-Iraqia University Assistant Instructor Ibrahim Talaat Ibrahim (M.A) participated in a course titled "Basics of Translation and English Grammar". It was organized in co-operation with AL-Dur Establishment for Relief and Development/ Baghdad on Saturday 15-4-2017.

The Instructor gave a lecture of two parts. The first part was about the definition of translation, its types, methods and the necessary steps to reach a good translation, whereas the second one highlighted English Tenses

Moreover, elite of academicians, media anchors, researchers and students participated in the course mentioned above. Afterward, the participants' discussions met the goals of the course.

تدريسي في كلية الآداب يسجل انطباعاته عن اهوار العراق

شارك التدريسي في قسم الترجمة بكلية الاداب الجامعة العراقية المدرس المساعد ابراهيم طلعت ابراهيم وفد جمعية المترجمين العراقيين زيارتها  لمنطقة الاهوار جنوب العراق  بعد اختيارها على لائحة التراث العالمي . 

وبين المدرس المساعد ابرهيم طلعت ان الوفد الذي ضم عددا من الشخصيات الاكاديمية والدبلوماسية سجل انطباعاته عن اهوار العراق لاسيما بعد دخولها  لائحة التراث العالمي بوصفها محمية طبيعية دولية بموافقة منظمة الامم المتحدة للتربية والعلوم والثقافة ( اليونسكو ) على هذه الاضافة عام 2016 وهي تجاور المدن الاثرية القديمة الموجودة  هناك مثل اور واريدو والوركاء.

واضاف ان ازدهار السياحة في العراق يزيد من فرص عمل المترجمين بما تكتنزه الاهوار العراقية من ثروة وطنية طبيعية  , فضلا عن عمقها التاريخي وامتلاكها للكثير من عناصر الجذب السياحي .

  

College of Arts TSM Expresses His View Towards Iraqi Marshes

Teaching Staff Member (TSM) at Translation Department/ College of Arts/ AL-Iraqia University Assistant Instructor Ibrahim Talaat Ibrahim (M.A) participated in the visit of Iraqi Translators' Association Delegation to marshes areas situated in the south of Iraq after being added to World Heritage Site by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Besides, Assistant Instructor said that the Association's Delegation embraced a number of academicians and diplomats. And they expressed their viewpoints with respect to the areas mentioned above especially when they were added in the World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2016. And they are described as international nature reserves. Moreover, they are close to ancient historical cities such as UR, Erido and Uruk.

And he also added that the prosperity of tourism industry in Iraq will create many job opportunities in the field of translation because these areas are described as treasures   as well as they have historical impact and tourism attraction elements

قسم الترجمة في الآداب يقيم محاضرة حول موضوع القياس والتقويم

اقام قسم الترجمة في كلية الآداب يوم الاربعاء 5/4/2017  وبرعاية عميد الكلية الاستاذ الدكتور حسين داخل البهادلي حلقة نقاشية بعنوان ( القياس والتقويم ) حاضر فيها  بهذا الموضوع الاستاذ الدكتور صفاء طارق حبيب التدريسي في كلية التربية ابن رشد بجامعة بغداد .

  واستهلت الورشة بتقديم للدكتور منصور كاظم السوداني التدريسي في كلية الآداب عن السيرة العلمية الاكاديمية للأستاذ الضيف مسبوقا بكلمة لمقرر قسم الترجمة م.م. ابراهيم طلعت ابراهيم بين فيها اهمية هذه الورشة في خدمة خطط وبرامج القسم والكلية.

وقدم المحاضر تعريفا وافيا عن مفهوم القياس والتقويم والاختبار وكيفية اعداد الاسئلة وتقويمها وفق النماذج العالمية المعتمدة وبالنتيجة الحصول على الاهداف المتوخاة من ذلك اضافة الى معرفة خصائص هذه المفاهيم .

وتناولت الورشة دور القياس والتقويم في تطوير العملية التعليمية والتربوية باعتبارهما الحجر الاساس في عملية التطوير والتحديث والتجديد من خلال معرفة مواطن الضعف والقوة في عمليتي التعلم والتعليم .

وحضر الورشة عدد من رؤساء الاقسام العلمية  ومقرري الاقسام ونخبة من تدريسي الكلية حيث شهدت الفعالية مداخلات ونقاشات اغنت اهدافها .

 

 College of Arts: Translation Dept. Organizes Lecture of Evaluation and Assessment

Under the patronage of Dean of College of Arts Professor Doctor Hussein Dakhil A:-Bahadli, Translation Department at College of Arts/ AL-Iraqia University organized on Wednesday 5-4-2017 a lecture titled (Evaluation and Assessment). It was presented by Professor Doctor Safa' Tariq Habeeb/ Teaching Staff Member/ College of Education –Ibn Rushed- / Baghdad University.

And Deputy Head of Translation Department Assistant Instructor Ibrahim Talaat AL-Bayati made an opening speech about the lecture to show its importance in serving the department and college plans. Then, Teaching Staff Member at Translation Department Doctor Mansour AL-Sudani presented the lecturer's curriculum vitae.

Moreover, the lecturer introduced a detailed presentation about the concept of Evaluation, Assessment, Test and means of preparing questions and assessing them in accordance with the accredited international samples. And it is resulted in achieving all the goals and defining the features of these concepts.

It also dealt with the role of Evaluation and Assessment in developing the educational and pedagogical process because it is described as the corner stone of the process of development by referring to the weaknesses and strengths of learning and teaching.

Furthermore, the workshop was attended by Heads, Deputy Heads of Departments, elite of teaching staff members of college of arts. And it witnessed discussions that enriched its goals.

زار الاستاذ والشاعر المبدع محسن عبدالساده الجوراني الاستاذ ابراهيم طلعت البياتي مساء يوم الثلاثاء الموافق 4-4-2017. وتحدث الطرفان عن مواضيع كثيرة في مجال الترجمة والنحو الانجليزي والمهرجانات الشعرية. وناقشنا بعض القضايا الخاصة برسالة الماجستير التي سوف يقدمها الجوراني الى جامعته في تخصص الترجمة. وفي الخاتمة, نسأل الله تعالى ان يوفق شاعرنا الرائع في مسيرته الاكاديمية.

Creative Poet Mr. Mohsen Abdulsadah AL-Jourani visited Mr. Ibrahim Talaat AL-Bayati on Tuesday afternoon 4-4-2017. Moreover, both parties discussed a number of topics in Translation, English Grammar and Poetry Festivals. Furthermore, we talked about the thesis that AL-Jourani will submit to his university, it is in the field of translation. Finally, we ask AL-Mighty Allah to make our distinguished poet successful in his academic career.

مقرر قسم الترجمة يشارك في ندوة بعنوان ( نحو واقع افضل للتعليم العالي في العراق)

شارك مقرر قسم الترجمة في كلية الآداب الجامعة العراقية المدرس المساعد ابراهيم طلعت ابراهيم ممثلا عن الكلية في الندوة التي اقامها مركز البيان للدراسات والتخطيط بعنوان (نحو واقع افضل للتعليم العالي في العراق).

وبين التدريسي ابراهيم طلعت ان الندوة التي حضرها السيد وزير التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي اد عبد الرزاق العيسى ونخبة من رؤساء الجامعات  والاكاديميين والباحثين والمهتمين بشؤون التعليم والبحث العلمي شهدت مناقشات قيمة حول افضل سبل الارتقاء بواقع التعليم العالي في بلدنا وكيفية الاستفادة من التجارب العالمية في دعم خطط مؤسساتنا التعليمية والوصول بها الى اهدافها المنشودة .

    وقد شهدت الندوة حضورا فاعلا على المستوى المحلي والعالمي وكان من ابرز المشاركين أد محمد الربيعي الاكاديمي العراقي في جامعة دبلن بجمهورية ايرلندا الذي نقل جانبا من تجارب جامعته في مجال التعليم والبحث العلمي .

يذكر ان مركز البيان للدراسات والتخطيط ومقره بغداد يعنى بالسياسات العامة الداخلية والخارجية التي تخص البلدان ومنها العراق وجاءت هذه الندوة التي تناولت قطاع التعليم ضمن اهتمامات هذا المركز في اقامة تعاون مشترك مع مؤسسات الدولة التعليمية والتربوية .

Deputy Head of Translation Department Assistant Instructor Ibrahim Talaat Ibrahim (M.A) represented College of Arts/ AL-Iraqia University in the symposium organized by AL-Bayan Center For Planning and Studies on Saturday 25-3-2017. And the symposium was titled "Towards Better Higher Education in Iraq".

Besides, Assistant Instructor Ibrahim Talaat said, the symposium was attended by Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Dr. Abdulrazzaq AL-Issa, elite of university presidents, academicians, researchers and people who are interested in higher education and scientific research affairs, witnessed invaluable discussions concerning means of living up the reality of higher education in Iraq and the way of getting benefit from international experiences so as to boost our educational foundations and to achieve our ultimate goals.     

Moreover, the symposium was attended by local and international figures and Professor Doctor Mohammad AL-Rubaie, Iraqi Professor teaching in Dublin University college/Republic Ireland, was one of the distinguished figures who shedded lights his university experience in the field of higher education.

It is mentioned that AL-Bayan Center for Planning and Researches based in Baghdad, and it is concerned with general politics of internal and external affairs of states including Iraq. Furthermore, the symposium that dealt with higher education was one of its interesting topics and it is also looking forward to have joint co-operations with the educational and pedagogical foundations of Iraqi government.

We and elite of Culture Eye Humanitarian Organization members paid a visit to Saladin Governorate on Friday 24-3-2017 to open the branches of above-mentioned organization in Dhuluiya county and Dujail administrative unit. Besides, head of the organization Dr. Nidhal AL-Abadi opened the branches and she praised the efforts made for the sake of Iraq and humanity. Moreover, members of the organization expressed their profound happiness towards such great step that aims at serving humanity. Finally, we thank Dhuluiya and Dujail people for the hospitality and we ask AL-Mighty Allah (the God of Universe) to make Iraq victorious.

MP Shwan AL-Dawdi Visit Our House

Iraqi MP and the Associator of Culture and Media Committee of Council of Representative Shwan AL-Dawodi paid a visit to our house tonight. Besides, Mr. Ibrahim AL-Bayati praised the MP. Moreover, both parties held talks concerning the Iraqi cultural trend and the role of media in reporting the ongoing events. Finally, MP AL-Dawodi thanked Mr. AL-Bayati for the hospitality. Our sincere regards are due to my dear and beloved maternal-uncle.

آداب العراقية تقيم ورشة عمل بالتعاون مع آداب المستنصرية بعنوان الترجمة الفورية المشكلات والتحديات

نظمت كلية الآداب في الجامعة العراقية  بالتعاون مع كلية الآداب في الجامعة المستنصرية ورشة عمل بعنوان ( الترجمة الفورية المشكلات والتحديات ) وذلك يوم الاحد 12/3/2017 .

وضيفت الآداب لهذه الورشة الدكتور محمد كاظم العسكري التدريسي في قسم الترجمة آداب المستنصرية بمحاضرة تحت عنوان (الترجمة الفورية المشكلات والتحديات ) اوضح فيها المشكلات التي يواجهها المترجمون الفوريون وكيفية التغلب عليها .

وطرح المحاضر استراتيجيات وحلول للتغلب على تلك المشكلات مبينا ان هذه المعالجات  ستوفر لنا امكانية اعداد مترجمين فوريين اكفاء والتعرف على اساليب وتقنيات الترجمة الفورية وكذلك  التعرف على افضل سبل الوصول الى الدقة والتميز في الترجمة الفورية .

وشهدت الورشة محاضرة للمدرس المساعد ابراهيم طلعت ابراهيم مقرر قسم الترجمة في آداب العراقية بعنوان (انواع الحذف في الترجمة الفورية ) .

وركز الباحث على الترجمة الفورية تعريفها ومفاهيمها  ودور المترجم اثناء هذه الترجمة ومن ثم المعوقات التي يواجهها  وانواع الحذف في الترجمة الفورية وآلياتها لتجنب الحذف غير المقبول .

وحضر الندوة التي ادارها الدكتور ثامر فيصل اسكندر تدريسيو قسم اللغة الانكليزية وقسم الترجمة والطلبة في المراحل المختلفة .

AL-Iraqia Univ. College of Arts Organizes Workshop with AL-Mustansiriya Univ. College of Arts Titled "Simultaneous Interpretation: Problems and Challenges" 

 

College of Arts at AL-Iraqia University organized a workshop in co-operation with AL-Mustansiriya University titled "Simultaneous Interpretation: Problems and Challenges" on Sunday 12-3-2017   

Besides, College of Arts hosted teaching staff member at Translation Department/ College of Arts/ AL-Mustansiriya Doctor Mohammad Kadhim AL-Askari to give a lecture concerning "Simultaneous Interpretation: Problems and Challenges" .He explained the problems faced by simultaneous interpreters and solutions.  

Moreover, the lecturer cited a number of strategies and solutions to overcome the obstacles, he also said that these solutions would help us prepare efficient simultaneous interpreters, get in touch with methods and techniques of simultaneous interpretation and explore best ways of achieving accuracy in interpretation.

The second part of the workshop was dedicated to Deputy Head at Translation Department/ College of Arts/ AL-Iraqia University  Assistant Instructor Ibrahim Talaat Ibrahim and it was titled "Types of Omission in Simultaneous Interpretation".

The researcher focused on the definitions and concepts of simultaneous interpretation and roles of interpreters through interpretation. Then, he elaborated on problems that they face, types of omission in simultaneous interpretation and methods that help them avoid improper omissions.   

The workshop was chaired by Doctor Thamir Faisal Iskandar and it was attended by Translation and English Department teaching staff members and students of different stages.
